Read my other response to your post. Also how do we know this is safe. You have never posted on the forum before and you want us to upload and download from your site.

Actually I don't really care whether you use it or not. There's no advertising on the link or anything, I get nothing out of it, I just enjoy a challenge so I thought I'd see if I can make a site to do this automatically.

If you are still concerned, here is a description of what the site does, and you can verify it for yourself quite easily by opening the .jad and looking at it contents:

  • You enter the URL of the original .jad
  • My server fetches that .jad file
  • The .jar URL is found in the contents of the file, and if necessary is converted to an absolute URL
  • The line "MIDlet-Touch-Support: True" is added before any blank lines at the end of the file
  • My server then serves the new .jad file

That's really all it does. The actual .jar file still comes from the exact same place it would have come from if you had used the original .jad file. If you open up the example .jad file I linked to for Opera Mini you'll see the .jar URL still points to m.opera.com for example.

Wow, glad I took the time to come back to the site for a little while and get Opera Mini on my Eternity!

It is soooooo much better than the built in browser IMO, especially in terms of speed.

if you want fast, forget this full screen stuff. use the d pad version. set it for mobile view. its very easy to control, and it moves quick.

Is there a signed version of Opera Mini that has the arrows?  I kinda liked them...

Does everybody hate the arrows?

Thanks for putting this guide together and it is very resourceful. I personally hate Opera 4, but Opera 5 makes this hack well worth it. I used the instructions provided here to hack Opera 5 and was able to run it in full screen. I never browsed better on my phone since I bought it. Love this site, keep up the good info!

Sorry if this has already been asked, but, I followed the instructions to download.  Every time I try to startup Opera it states, "failed to connect to internet."  I know my signal is good I just dled the .wap and I have almost full bars on 3g.

I guess pertinent info would be I just switched over to Simple Mobile.

Thanks for any input!

Go to your games and apps menu and select "more". Then select "connections". At the top of the menu you can now set your new network profile as the default for all your java apps.
