There is a thread that tells you how to install. Proper thing to do when you join a forum is spend a little time looking around. Topics are stickied for importance.

If you have a data (internet) plan on your phone, yes; it is completely free. If, on the other hand, you do not have a data plan on your phone, AT$T will suck your bank account dry with by-the-kilobyte data charges.

Has anyone tried Bolt 2.0 Beta yet on the eternity?
I'm debating between that and Opera 5.
I'm just a general surfer ... nothing fancy.
Not interested in any hacks-n-cracks .. just want a better browser out of the box.

I installed it and played with it for a few minutes... seems similar to 1.x, but with the tabs.  The tabs are a little difficult to navigate, IMO. I prefer Opera 5's setup for tabbed browsing.  However, I didn't like Opera 5 on the eternity.  I thought it was laggy... I am still curious if that is due to the fact that it is not written for our phone?

I, personally, am a fan of Opera 4.2... it lacks tabs, but it loads super fast and runs smooth. Smiley

I hate to bring it up but the processor and j2me version is getting outdated. Many apps run better on the impression and solstice.

I figured as much.  I think the eternity is a good 6 months older than the impression.  That's a whole generation in computer terms.  It would definitely explain that 'sluggish' feel to Opera 5.

Well, I'm happy with Opera 4.2 and that's all that matters to me.  Heck, my last phone was a Samsung SGH-737.  Undecided

Well nunya that answer is easy. Take you ME pc. You would have to more than double its processor and memory to run xp. In the same instance you would have to double it again to run windows 7 with the same performance.

Its filesystem is more complex. Its screen is a higher resolution.

Bolt 2.1 has been released.
Among BOLT 2.1's new features are tighter integration with Facebook, support for HTML5 video and several new Flash video streaming websites.
JAD & Jar files attached below.

I have to say, the HTML5 videos are pretty cool, but they are going to be pretty small.  I think I prefer the interface of opera mini, but I might keep this one around just in case.

since he didn't specify that it was modified, assume he just put up what you can get by using the bolt website
