Bolt's still not working... neither 1.4 or 1.5 work for me anymore. Abruptly. 1.4 just stopped working out of the blue, so I upgraded to 1.5, and 1.5 doesn't work either.

I haven't done anything in the internals or service menus for about 3 weeks prior to them stopping working.

Edit:...Apparently none of my apps can connect to the internet for whatever reason. Opera doesn't work either.

Just an FYI.  Bolt 1.5 has now fixed the problems with uploading an attachment to Gmail, very efficient now, I guess in doing this it disabled the ability to make an attachment to Yahoo! Mail, unless I'm missing something, but thats ok I wanted to use Gmail in the first place.  Bye Bye MMS, Hello full sized pics and vids  Grin

Check that you are not on the yahoo mobile email page. Looks the same but doesnt allow the attachment. You can upload attachments to yahoo email with Bolt 1.5.

Bolt Browser 1.6 has been released. Here is a fullscreen version for the eternity if anyone wants it.  Not sure on what was updated. Just bringing the news and the download.

Probably because you have 1.5 installed.  Might have to delete that version first. That file was pulled straight from Boltbrowser.com

And it would be easier to use wapHQ and the jad instead of using rumkin and imserba with the jar. All you would have to do is goatbreak the app if using wapHQ. If using the jar with rumkin or imserba you will have to copy over the jad and goatbreak it.

It doesn't save the landscape setting, just like the old version.  I can't believe they haven't fixed this bug yet.

You should probably update the thread, or unsticky it and make a new one.

Bolt 1.7 has been released, with the following new features:

Quote
International Localization
With BOLT being used by people in more than 100 countries, Bitstream has added language support so more users can use BOLT with a user interface in their own language. The 1.7 version of BOLT now includes options for English, Spanish and Russian languages.

Widgets
Although BOLT already runs web-based applications written in Ajax, Javascript and other Web programming languages, such as the popular Facebook game Mafia Wars and Google Docs, BOLT 1.7 is adding widget functionality.  Now in beta, BOLT widgets allow users to install small self-contained Web applications
that run directly from within BOLT.  Because these widgets are installed directly within BOLT they load and execute faster than website-based applications, giving users a wider variety of utility for their mobile phones.  BOLT users can discover, select and install specific Web apps through a BOLT Widget Gallery.  BOLT’s widgets are written as standard W3C widgets (www.w3.org/TR/widgets/), a standard with broad industry support.

Twitter Integration
One of the new enhancements to BOLT is an easier way to post tweets to Twitter. BOLT 1.7 has integrated Twitter capabilities into the browser itself.  Now users can post tweets directly from BOLT while they browse the Web.

Usability Enhancements
BOLT 1.7 now features keypad shortcuts that make zooming in and out of Web content as simple as a click of a button.  Users can now scale text and images without having to change the zoom presets in their preferences.

As well as faster socket browsing (I read 15%, somewhere).

Attached are the JAR and JAD that I used, so they should work.

Also...

"Now users can watch videos posted in CNN and ESPN, as well as watch embedded YouTube videos on any website. "

I am an Impression owner and use and like the BOLT browser.  My daughter owns an Eternity and I finally talked her into letting me install the BOLT browser. On my Impression I have the "Rotate" command that allows me to go to Landscape mode when I open the slide. My daughter wanted the Landscape mode so I went into the preferences and changed the setting to Landscape mode. I saved and exited preferences. It went to Landscape mode but when you exit BOLT and open it again it goes back to Portrait.  I even tried adding a MIDLET=Landscape command in the JAD but it didn't work.  Has anyone had this problem with the preference not saving?  Can I make it stay in Landscape?  Thanks.
