ok, the same thing happened to me with trapster that happened with amaze. The gps caught on the first time upon installing it with the settings.bin file. after that when i go to pull it up, it stays on 'locating your destination' for ever and never hooks up.

I believe there is a problem with the GPS chip itself. If you reboot the phone in the morning, it should work the rest of the day. BUT you have to reboot the phone for the GPS to work again.
