When you pull up gmail or gmaps or any other java app that you install that is "unsigned" it always gives you that message for when it accesses the internet. "Allow, always ask" and "No, not this time".
My question is if anyone knows a way aournd where you can either get a message like "Allow, never ask" or just bypass the question all together cause it is rather annoying.

Well, I have google maps working without that stupid always ask for connection popup. Just have to make sure when you download it, you are downloading for "samsung phones" so that the certificate is there.
Gmail app still says it's unsigned even when you download it under the "samsung phones" page.
Sadly gmaps version for java doesn't have the gps functionality (at least that i can find) nor does it have touchscreen functionality like the gmail app has.

It seems to have found me on the map with the gps. :s Though I did sign up for that nagivator trial not sure if that turned it on or not... Anyway I'd love for a touch screen version of this to come out... navigator's bogus subscription is just not worth it. Edit: Now I'm confused... I have mobile gmaps, and google maps. Mobile gmaps lets me use the touch screen and what not but doesn't connect to the gps, and google maps lets me use the gps but no touch screen, and I couldn't find a signed copy even at http://www.google.com/mobile/samsung/maps.html

I tried downloading both the gmail and gmaps applications and they both give me that annoying pop-up everytime. I made sure I downloaded the version for Samsung phones too and still the same problem... grrr!

AT&T is bad for doing that to their software versions. Would be nice if they could leave the software alone.

Yeah I agree they should leave it alone. Just because a software isn't signed doesn't automatically make it untrustworthy. Especially since I think the majority of owners would get the data package.

Ok, found a way to get Opera Mini to download and work with a "Click Only Once" option. You need to click on, "If this version fails....." and then choose the version with Multiple certificates.
Now, this will not use landscape mode because it's not version specific to the Eternity, but at least you won't have to click for access every time.

The location function on google maps for the eternity is just a cell tower approximation. There is no GPS functionality with the version that gets downloaded to the eternity.
I had a blackjack2 and the gmaps that got installed for the winmo version had a menu item specifically for GPS location and was very precise and nice.
Google will have to put out a version that adds support for the samsung OS if we are gonna get any more functionality out of the application.

Ya, got the gmaps signed but gmail seems not to have one yet. At least the "connect" prompt doesn't pop up as much as it did in gmaps. That was just annoying.
