If you are talking about the network unlock, then yes it will still be unlocked.
I just recently unlocked my phone and have flashed back and forth between the s7120 firmware and the a867 firmware.  It's still unlocked.  Checking can be done by entering *#7465625#

Can someone upload, or post a link to the s7120 firmware and is it a partial flash or full flash that you use to keep the network unlocked

First, that is not why we use that firmware. He was just saying it stays unlocked if you switch firmwares. Second, if you still want the firmware, search chinese language support.

You wouldn't do either. You would call AT&T and ask talk to them about how to unlock your phone.

Sorry if there was any confusion. If you unlock your phone with the ORIGINAL FIRMWARE, and then SWITCH to the CHINESE FIRMWARE, it will STAY unlocked. It will not UNLOCK your phone if it is LOCKED.

Sorry if i wasnt clear... My uncle is currently with ATT and he purchased the phone for me and unlocked it with att for me. Now he lives in DC and i live in Toronto. I dont want to drive all the way back there for an unlock if i lock back the phone. So would i do a partial flash or full flash and will the unlock stay if i switch

I believe it should definitely stay for a partial, and I don't think it will stay for a full, but I'm not 100% sure.

i would have replied earlier but im at work.  first unlocking is stored in the phones nvm memory it will stay unlocked.  second you cannot do a partial flash from a867 to s7120. to flash to s7120 u would have to flash the boot files plus all the other files.  third i got my phone unlocked for $1.29.

Please do not double post. I responded to the other post. This is in the wrong topic, so please don't post here about the S7120u firmware in this thread anymore.

do you have your file extensions for known file types being displayed?
all you have to do is rename everything after the dot

as nunya said make sure you dont hide known extensions.  Assuming it's windows xp, it will not show known extensions like bin, jpg, html unless you tell it to show.  It will show the rc2 extension cause xp doesn't know what the extension is.

To do this,
Open My Computer, then goto Tools, Folder Options...

Then uncheck 'Hide extensions for known file types"

rec, i do not have the patience to post an answer like that. and i think that if someone isn't advanced enough to know about that, then they really shouldn't be trying most of this stuff.
