This is the new hack of the century. This hack will allow full permissions without doing the settings.bin hack or deleting the phonedb_data.00. This will work with mgmaps to allow you to see the memory card. Should give full permissions to any app you can install on your phone. No more bandaid settings.bin hacks or unsafe deleting of the phonedb_data.00 file.

For my example I will use amazegps. Download the Signed Jad for the Eternity to your phone from wap.amazegps.com.  If you already have it then good. If you dont just install it. No need to run app after installing.

Connect your phone using TKFileExplorer. Go to the amaze folder and delete the  manifest.mf, and the contents of the appdb folder. DO NOT DELETE THE APPDB FOLDER just its contents.   Thats all.

Disconnect your phone and reboot just in case. May not need to. Run amaze and you will be amazed that you now have a unhacked version of amaze with full permissions.

This hack will work for mgmaps too. Do the same process as I described above except do this to the jad on the computer to make mgmaps full screen. Open up the signed jad on your computer and copy the info below to the jad and resave it.

MIDlet-Touch-Support: True
UseNativeTextButtons: false
ReverseSoftkeys: true
UseNativeCommands: false
LGE-MIDlet-TargetLCD-Height: 400
LGE-MIDlet-TargetLCD-Width: 240

Do the install process as above for amaze. You will now have mgmaps that will access the memory card and see the gps.

Again this process should work for any signed app that you can manage to install by using wap (internet). Its safe and its the most complete in allowing all permissions.  You must use a signed jad for this method to be successful.

Im on a roll lately. Give me the opportunity and i will break those darn lockedscreen wallpapers and the icons on the menu screen too. I want to give you the customization this phone deserves. I actually have an idea on that increasing ring on how to deactivate it without screwing up your volume control for other mp3's. Just give me time.

I tried. I keep getting a Java Error. I think my drivers on my laptop are acting goofy though. My Eternity keeps changing the COM port # it is. I will keep you informed.

Just install opera mini from the website. Dont run it. It doesnt need to be signed so dont worry. Use TKFileExplorer and connect to your phone. Go to the opera mini's folder. Delete the manifest.mf. Delete the contents of the appdb folder. Upload the Jad to your computer. Using notepad add this to the jad.

MIDlet-Touch-Support: True
UseNativeTextButtons: false
ReverseSoftkeys: true
UseNativeCommands: false
LGE-MIDlet-TargetLCD-Height: 400
LGE-MIDlet-TargetLCD-Width: 240

Save the jad. download it back to your phone. Disconnect and run opera mini. Now fullscreen with no more asks.

Agoattamer, thanks for your efforts.  I followed the instructions in the OP: delete .jad, .jar, .mf files, and everything inside the appdb folder (there is no "appd" folder), and replace the .jad and .jar files with the signed files downloaded to pc thru tkfileexplorer.  Unfortunately, when I open the app, I get the error "Java Error: invalid format".  Any idea what I am doing wrong?

If you installed amaze over the air then there has to be an appdb folder. I need more info what you did.

I tried to install both Amaze as well as mgmaps using this method.  I first installed the signed versions of Amaze and mgmaps from the wap servers (over the air), opened the folders in tkfileexplorer.  There is no appd folder in either one.

The following is the listing in the amaze folders:
[dir] app
[dir] appdb
[file] manifest.mf
[file] amaze.jad
[file] amaze.jar

The following is the listing in the mgmaps folder
[dir] appdb
[dir] filesystem
[dir] res
[file] manifest.mf
[file] mobilegmaps.jad
[file] mobilegmaps.jar

I downloaded the jar and jad files from the amaze website onto my pc.  I downloaded the mgmaps jar and jad files from here http://www.samsung-eternity.com/index.php/topic,4571.0.html.

Obviously the missing appd folder is the cause of the java error.  I take it I shouldn't touch the appdb folder.
