do phones that allow multiple home screens allow big pictures to be scrolled?

what i mean by this is:
if the screen size is 240x400. say i used something 720x400. would it cover 3 home pages?
and then what happens if i have a 4th page?

I'm pretty sure that on Android phones, a solid background picture will expand all of the home screens. I'm not sure about the Mythic (and newer touchwiz dumbphones), but you could split the picture up into how ever many homescreens you have and set each to a different part of the iamge, that way it would appear to scroll.

i've been finding pics, sometimes 3 pics pasted side by side, with odd dimensions like that. i've been cropping them. but was just curious about new phones.

I doubt the mythic or any other dumbphone can do it.

For the android phones (and this is just a guess, don't have an android phone to play with right now) I don't think you could do what you described, using a 720x400 image and having that spread out automatically.

You'd probably have to split the picture into thirds, or quarters or whatever and individually set each homescreen background.

You might be thinking of the windows phones and their metro ui and i don't think you can do that with android.

Most phones with the Android OS use an image larger than the pixel size of the phones' display screen, because of the scrolling home page style most of them use. So a phone that has a screen size of 320x480 needs a picture or graphic that is actually 640x480. An Android phone with a 480x800 screen (like the Galaxy S) uses a 960x800 background picture, and a 480x854 screen needs a 960x854 graphic. It's confusing, but it works out fine.

The Mythic has a 360x640 screen resolution, but doesn't use Android OS, so I would guess it doesn't need an oversized graphic, unless the home screen does scroll like Android. If it is three seperate home screens, then I would guess you could use three different wallpapers of the same size. But you might try larger horizontal sizes if you don't like how a standard size image looks in landscape when you turn the phone sideways.
