So I really like the fact that this phone has a music player, but....

I have a collection of about 5/600 songs (and even a few hundred artists, and albums) and it is extremely tedious to scroll all the way down if i want to listen a song whose title begins with the lower end of the alphabet.
The phone book has a side scroll which quickly allows you to go from 1 letter to another. Is there a similar feature for the music player?

This seems like one HUGE and obvious flaw, so I'm hoping I just overlooked something.

Please Help,
Thanks.

I agree...it makes it really difficult to find music in a big library

This is a really, really dead thread man. It is obvious that it is simply not in the software. It sucks, but contacting Samsung (even when this phone was new) results in NOTHING, and was probably a waste of time. This is meant to be a feature phone, not a replacement for a real MP3 player.

Unfortunately winmo phones have the same issues when using the default media player. Why do they do this is utterly stupid. Plus all music in any folder shows up in the media player too.

Ago: up until the iPhone, basically, no phone was meant to replace a real music player. Making it work with a huge library would require more processor utilization, more coding, and ultimately more effort. Oh well.

And no improvement with android either. Why can't they just play saongs from one default folder. That doesn't require processing power.

AaaaaaaaaaMEN!  If I wanted to play my ringtones on the media player, I would put them in my MUSIC folder, not my TONES folder.  /grr

Upside to Android is that we get the alpha letters down the right side of the song list so you can just jump to "W" if you want.
