Thought I'd post my problem and solution to help out anyone who has the similar problem. My problem was that my phone got water damage from the ocean (sea water).  I rinsed all the components off with water and let it air dry.  The battery was drained and dead. So i borrowed my brothers Blackjack battery.  My phone still worked once dried and reassembled.

Anyways I had the problem of charging the phone.  It would not charge via the car, nor wall charger.  There would be a message "charging paused due to phone temp being too high or too low.." The only way I could charge it was through the usb cable.  I had to power off the phone and then plug it into the computer.  This method would work but was a pain in the ass.

I noticed there was some internal phone menus dealing with charging temperature.

Using this method I was able to resolve my problem for now:

step 1.  *#197328640#
step 2.  [9] common
step 3.  [1] Batt, Temp
-> next to Batt temp ADC it said 254 for me.  Obviously it's incorrect, I think the                  sensor for the battery temp somehow messed up. Take note of that number.
step 4.  Go back to the main menu and select [2] Version Information
step 5.  [4] Charging Temperature
step 6. I changed [1] high stop to 255.
and [2] high recover to 254.

With those changes, my phone now actually charges off the wall and car charger. Anyways hopefully this helps someone.

1. couldn't you have posted this answer on your post with the question.
2. it would have been nice to know you had water damage before people tried answering your other post.
3. we know about changing charging temps. but its not safe for a normal phone.

It is also possible you damaged the sensor when you took your phone apart to repair the digitizer.

Could be possible, but I don't think so.  I didn't have this problem until after my boating incident.  I am thinking since the battery seemed to have leaked out and died after being exposed to salt water, something must have happened.

I don't think Nunya did make a mistake. He mentioned water damage. And beast534 did mention that there was a boating accident and the battery was destroyed because of saltwater. Sounds like water damage to me.

Maybe Nunya is just that damn good he knows these things before they are posted.
