HELP ME SILENCE WHILE TEXTING!!

EVERYTIME I TOUCH MY SAMSUNG ETERNITY IT BEEPS. THIS GETS SOOO ANNOYING WHEN TEXTING AND WHEN SETTING MY ALARM AT NIGHT (WAKES UP ENTIRE HOUSEHOLD!). CAN ANYONE PLEASE EXPLAIN TO ME HOW TO SILENCE MY TOUCH SCREEN? THANKS!

Maybe if you type like normal people and not use all caps would help.

I apologize for the caps. When I go to menu, settings, sound profile and click on any of the normal, silent, driving or outdoor profiles, there is no drop down anywhere. Can you please help me.

Top right of the screen you will see "call" and next to it a arrow in gray pointing down. Tap on that arrow.
