Like a lot of people out there, my digitizer cracked out of nowhere.  I tried to search all over the internet for ways to disassemble the phone and replace the cracked glass.  The closest thing I could find was from this website:

http://www.rapidrepair.com/guides/instinct/instinct.html

It's a guide to taking apart a Samsung Instinct.  It matched up pretty close all the way to step 5.  I couldn't figure out the rest of the steps to take it apart. But anyways, once at step 5, I was able to see the ribbon from the digitizer and remove it from the board.  Taking a very thin screw driver, I carefully removed the digitizer from the front.  It is just secured with some adhesive.  Once that was taken out, I replaced it with a digitizer I bought from Ebay for $16.  Since I could not take the phone fully apart, the hardest part was getting the ribbon connected back onto the board.  But eventually I got it in. TWSS.

I am surprised I couldn't find any instructions on taking apart the Eternity.  Nonetheless, I just want to say it is possible.  I just wish I took pictures while I did it.

This is the old digitizer I took out.

This is what it looks like now:

If any of you have questions, I'll try to answer them.  Or if someone can please extend this guide.  I just want to make it easier for anyone who has this problem.

Thanks to jking691 for the video:

Not really sure. I've read about a lot of people having the glass break because of pressure in the pocket.  I found it on the floor (carpet)  and it was cracked, so maybe a little drop cracked it.  These digitizers are very delicate.  Of course AT&T doesn't cover the damage, so I had to replace it myself. As for the case, I did buy it off ebay. It was like $7 for the case and usb cable.

Nice!

I was really confused when I first saw the picture with the turtle in it. Didn't see the broken thing in front of the turtle, just thought the turtle's tank was cracked.

I'm pretttttttyyy sure they took apart that phone before the video.

Everything sure looked easy to take off lol.

I mean.. the digitizer was barely on there.. that just doesn't happen.. those are 3M glued in there.. so the odd's of you just simply sticking a pry tool in there and lifting it out are pretty slim.

How do you get the lcd/digitizer out in one piece without breaking the lcd? That adhesive is pretty strong.

Whoever this is, they are not a professional. Never use a magnetic screwdriver, and never wear a dangly bracelet when working on anything electronic. Also she is pretty rough with the ribbon cables, they are very delicate and tend to rip when using a sharp object on them.
