woah nice find. I am sure many are looking for this! (can we sticky???)

works for 64 bit too. great!

btw it doesn't break the linking to another forum page, since this is not an actual phone forum, rather a windows 7 hardware support one.

Well we can sticky but it needs to be proven. I have been researching the topic myself. And it seems that a key to success is to install PC-studios using Vista sp1 compatibility mode. And running pc-studios in Vista sp1 compatibility mode seems to work great for a few.  Everything seems to work in pc-studios and they have no issues with TKFE.

hey, i seem to have a similar problem. i've been using pc studio and tkfe for a while now on windows vista. i just bought a new notebook that runs on win 7 x64. tried to install and connect but it won't work. now it won't even connect to the vista nb. i've tried using these methods with no luck. i'm starting to think it's a phone problem. any ideas?

Remove any drivers, and install Samsung New PC Studio, not PC Studio 3. You might encounter some warnings upon install, but just ignore them and continue, and it should work.

It seems you should install pc studio in compatibility mode and also run it in compatibility mode. Then it should work correctly.

This fixed worked for me, but the phone only shows up as one device instead of three.  This means I need to uninstall it from modem to com when I want to switch between TKE and PC Studio.  Is there a way to allow it to install all the drivers at once?

The ghost in the machine must have been trying to play a trick on me, but I do remember three devices being installed before, and they do show up when you use the "Have Disk" method of installing the drivers.  I was able to connect to TKE using both the Mobile USB Modem driver, and the USB Port driver.  I had to manually type in COM3 in the TKE Settings menu using both methods, but using the USB Port driver it told me which COM port it was using.

I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit and I just downloaded the "New PC Studio" available from Samsung's Website. The program installed fine, with just a couple of errors that I ignored.

After the program was installed, and just before connecting my Eternity to the PC, I set the phone to load up under PC Studio, then I connected it. The phone found the necessary drivers immediately, with "New PC Studio" popping up right after that.

Taking advice from the forum, I then closed "New PC Studio" completely (exiting it out of the systray as well), then opened TKFileExplorer and connected it with the phone using "com7", which was already listed there after clicking on the drop-down arrow.
