hey guys. i attend oklahoma state university and all my buddies (as im sure yours) have their emails sent to their iphones/blackberrys/blackjacks ect. i see they have an app for a few servers, but outlook isnt one of them. anyway for me to sign on and have emails sent to my phone from my mail service?

i found this in my options from my mail service and it said "To add a new device, begin a partnership with Microsoft Exchange from the device and it will appear in the list below." the only thing is, i cant figure out how to create this partnership...any ideas? the help button doesnt say a word about it

If your wanting to sync with outlook or outlook express our phones cant do it. You would need a smart phone. But I could be wrong. I think your best bet is to use the built in email app or view emails through a web browser opera mini or bolt. The built in browser wont show images.

ya, our built in browser will let me log in, and i can see my email, but as soon as i open it i will get kicked out of the session. i can view the emails with opera mini, but its kind of a pain. i created an account on the mobile email app that came on our phones, but i did it with a yahoo account i never use...just to see if it works...i was thinking about having all my emails forwarded to that yahoo email address, then i can get it with this app. just an idea/simple fix

thank you though

Just to be clear so you don't confuse anyone.

Outlook is not a mail server, it is a mail reading client application. Thunderbird and the others are just different readers as well.

Unless you have an email box and user account on someones exchange server you cannot sync with it. It is possible that your school is using MS Exchange to host all of your mail accounts whether they run it or it is hosted for them. However as stated you will not actually be able to do this with the eternity.

Just text your friends, and if you must get your mail have it forwarded to an account that will work better with our phones like you already stated.

You wouldn't necessarily need MS Outlook, but instead a email app capable of handling custom entered pop3 and smtp accounts. You would need to contact your mail server admin to see what these are if you don't already know.  Generally it tends to be pop3.xxxx.xxx (The xxx's being replaced by what you normally type after the @) and smtp.xxxx.xxx
