To everyone trying to install the Impression's version of yellowpages I have verified the install method.  The method does not involve removing your original version of yellow pages. I am saying you do not have to remove your original preinstalled version. You remove your original at your own risk if you would like.

On the bottom of this post I uploaded the Impression's original jar and jad. Download them to your PC.

On your PC go to http://www.imserba.com/wapupload/ and upload the jar.

It will give you a jumpcode.

On your medianet browser of your phone go to http://wap.imserba.com and enter that jumpcode into the text box and proceed to download the app to your phone.

Once installed do not run the app yet.

Connect your phone to your PC using TKFileExplorer.

Navigate in the bottom window to the new yellow pages folder in your games folder. Not the locked games folder.

Delete the jad, the appdb folder, and the manifest.mf if there is one.

In the top window navigate to where you have the jar and the jad that you downloaded from this post.

Right click on the jad and download it into the yellow pages app folder where you just deleted the other jad.

Now in the bottom pane, right click on the jad and rename it to the same name as the jar. It will be something like AB123456.JAD.

Disconnect and start up the new Yellow Pages app and enjoy the gps feature.

Thanks to illegallydead and 4Eternal for shedding light on the imserba wap uploader. Somehow because of the name change of the jar and jad it allowed yellow pages app to install easily without deleting the original Eternity yellow pages app.

I just tested this method out myself by installing the Eternity's version on my Impression and the method worked flawlessly.

Edited on July 23, 2009 to give install directions.

Not sure if I read through your forums correctly but I believe your yellow pages app doesnt connect to the internal gps. I thought i remember someone wanting the yellow pages app from the Impression since mine does and is quite nice. Well here are the jad and the jar files for those that want to experiment. I used TKFileExplorer to upload them.  Be careful and dont hold me responsible if this messes up your phone. Let someone who knows what to do with it first experiment.

thanks! (that was me ) I'm going to try it out now!

You know, I took a look at the jad file and I noticed something that Ive never seen before... There was the code MIDlet-ScreenMode: ROTATE .... I know that the Impressions display is set to rotate once you slife the keyboard out, but I was wondering if maybe we could implement this code on the Eternity to possible get Landscape Games/Apps etc.... Anybody willing to try? I cant save the edited jad/jar files with my Mac, otherwise I would definitely give it a shot.

Nice find, but.. I  tried it and new it wasn't going to work, only because when the screen rotates on the impression it's because the screen slides out, we don;t have a slide out phone so it won;t work, but I will try it on yellow pages so i'll brb

Did you find anything about that midlet rotate? I think Im gonna add it to a few of my apps and see if it makes a difference on my Impression.

Hi, all I just installed the yellowpages app for the impression on my eternity from the files that Agoattamer posted. Using the install method that he also used for installing amaze gps without the settings.bin hack, and its working well on my eternity even the gps. Only thing is I can't get it to open using the shortcut icon in the menu.

That is very interesting. Hmmm, I was told it couldnt be done. What install method did you use? Does it now find the gps? And you wont be able to use the icon because that is linked to your old version of yellow pages.

Share your info and i will look into linking the shortcut for you if it can be done.

I used the same install method that's being discussed in the settings.bin not needed for gps thread. yes it finds the gps.

Thanks alot erik. I thought it would work this way.

If you are still interested in trying to make that yellowpages icon on your menu link up with yellow pages I have an idea. Maybe if you installed it in the locked games folder instead of the games folder the icon would now work. This is just an eduated guess.

Thats where I installed it. I deleted the original yp app and installed the new one but the icon in the main menu didn't work. I guess they won't let you have it all.

Hmmm, maybe the original link ended when you deleted it the first time. Did this show up as a locked app now in the menu? I noticed one thing about the two different versions. If you open up the jad and the Manifest.mf in the impression you will see that  the midlet name is 'Yellowpages'. If you open up the jad and the Manifest.mf of the jar of the eternity the midlet name is 'YELLOWPAGES.COM Mobile'. If you changed the midlet name inside each to 'MIDlet-Name: YELLOWPAGES.COM Mobile' then it might work with the icon. You would probably have to delete and reinstall to try it.  Just a thought if you wanted to try.

I can make the changes myself and put them up if you want me to.
