This is really annoying. Has come up on me a few times. Can we disable it? It pops out in the middle of the page, scrolling with you too.

Pop-out ads help sponsor the boards, so unless you want this to become a pay board, then no.

The alternative is to use Firefox...no popups!  I don't think they pop in Opera either.

Funny, I just noticed while reading this post that all the ads on my page are for binoculars.com -- which coincidentally I've been doing alot of binoc shopping in the last 24 hours. LOL

This is not a pop up, it is a pop out. It is an obtrusive ad. I think i will dissuade people from our site and hurt its profits more.

I use firefox with adblock and I don't get ads anywhere..
Although if everyone used adblock then nobody would see the ads which is almost as bad as completely removing them all together..

Thank you. This was more of a pop"out" rather than pop"up", but I assume you got it done. Thanks!

I believe I had a white box popout yesterday in IE on my work computer, but it didn't display an actual ad.  I'll have to take a look again to see what's up.

You could have malware that does that.
