for the new and the forgetful old...

be aware of anything set to a specific time on your phone. particularly your calendar.
during the previous time change (and people who cross time zones), our phone changes timed events according to the time change. a 2pm appointment might not be listed as 2pm anymore.
i'd hate for you to be late because your schedule changed.

and if you have your phone set to auto set clock and to change on dst but it doesn't, reboot your phone.

indeed  Wink   i didn't have the phone through the last time change, so it's nice to know that there might be some issues with the time update

your phone will set its time the next time the time checks the servers. a reboot ensures a time update.
but somewhere in the programming they screwed up. and your appointments will also change.

I just added an alarm and a calendar event.
I named them both NOON and set them for,,,, duh,,, NOON.

If either show a different time, I will know I need to check the rest.

***edit that***
I did one for 1200 and another for 1202. that way they both can go off without a conflict between the two.

Noticed that the phone time also did not change. The phone had to be started for it to sync and get updated.

Interesting.  My phone updated without a reboot. Got the phone March '09, don't know if everyone's software is the same version.  I also have an alarm clock that is suppose to change automatically and it did change but did so much later than 2:00a.

Just a side note, none of my alarms were affected by the time change, just the calendar.

the phone's time updates (if set to do so) upon connection to the network. rebooting (also known as turning off and back on, did someone really ask that?) or turning on/off airplane mode will reset the time. sometimes driving from one area to the next will too.

Mine actually says "the time is being updated" everytime I recycle the power on the phone....but didn't have to yesterday morning, it was already updated while recharging.
