I'm really torn by this announcement.
I swore I would never buy another Samsung phone after the appalling way we were treated as Eternity owners but this looks like the killer Andriod phone for the second half of 2010.
I get great coverage where I live with AT&T, even on the golf course, I'm getting 4 bars and 3G+. My friends all have Verizon and I consistently have better voice and data coverage at work, at home or out and about.
I really want an Andriod phone.
Sounds like a perfect marriage but what is AT&T going to do to the phone to make Andriod a locked down nightmare and not as Google intended ?
Will Samsung / AT&T stay up to date and release patches for Andriod updates, Froyo anyone ?
I have a couple of months before I'm due an upgrade, which has got to be in the ballpark of when this phone is going to come out.
I'd love to jump on this, I'll preorder, I'll even take the hit on higher data package for a smart phone but can I really trust Samsung not to just ignore the phone 3 months after it's released.
Fool me once, etc,
