Which is better? I'm leaning more towards the skinomi cause it's cheaper.

Also, how hard is it to apply this thing?

I am not trying to be the "You cant do it" guy..

But I sucked at models as a kid...Never got the stickers straight... I had a little trouble with the top.bottom and side pieces. The front and back were easy.

And what ever skin you buy, Dont forget the whole sheet is their product so what ever is left over after you remove the punch outs is great for anything else you want it on Smiley

Just buy the BestSkinsEver version... only $5.99. What's the difference? You only get the shields, no packaging or w/e. All these shields are made from the same material, so might as well just get the cheaper of them.

I just finished installing my bestskinever brand cover, very happy with it and it was only $7.99.  See http://www.bestskinsever.com/servlet/the-132/Samsung-Eternity-Skin/Detail.  I was surprised to see they even cover the front buttons... the phone is completely covered on sides, back, and front, and the cover fits perfectly around the holes/buttons.

I'm attaching pictures of the covers, the Eternity on the Left doesn't have a cover, the Eternity on the Right HAS the bestskinsever cover.  I've also attached two pictures of the skins the way they come... note that I had to burn the edges in Adobe Photoshop just so you could see the edges, otherwise they came out invisible to the camera.

Install was much easier than I was expecting.  I put two drops of dish soap in about a cup of water (they call for 1/4 tsp in 10oz).  Used this solution to wet my fingers (to avioid fingerprints), then sprayed the skin.  It went on easily, slid into place easily, and I was able to push out the bubbles with only my fingers.  I followed up with a credit card, but really didn't even need it.

The edges were very easy too, but it definitely helped having my wife help hold the corners down for about a minute until it could completely set.  We didn't have to use much solution, so there wasn't a problem with water or voiding the warranty.  We DID take the battery out though, and we let the phone sit for 12 hours after so that it could set.  We covered her phone yesterday, we'll do mine tonight.  Also, she has a hard plastic cover on her phone, and the phone fit back in the plastic cover even with the skin on.

thank you for your post divehsv it help me decide on which skin to get..well... that and price  Grin
lol

anyway i just applied the skin like 15 minutes ago and am waiting for it to set I'm gonna post some pics as well when it's done drying. I honestly think this is the best buy because the skinomi and invisible shields are ridiculously over priced I mean how much do they think they can charge for just a few pieces of film 20-24$! even with the dicount on the IS thats still plenty ridiculous. I got my usb cable and a hard case with the money I saved. I'm thinking they charge you for the solution(water and soap) and the fancy packaging that comes with the skinomi and IS shields, if your not looking for unnecessary crap to jack up the price go with the BESTSKINSEVER!

I read all these posts and decided to go with the InvisibleShield. Products like these are similar to window tint for cars, not all are equal in quality. These overlays don't all come from the same place, some suppliers have higher quality than others. Of course there will be a few retailers that sell the same high quality stuff for cheaper prices, there always is. I just didn't want to gamble and shelled out the $25, it's a small price to pay for peace of mind.

How's it look?

I did the InvisibleShield on mine.   It's nice but I started with the screen first and it looks like crap - lol.  The rest look good.

This cover does very little to protect from a drop.   I marked up the chrome surround right through the 'shield' which was disappointing to say the least.

I want to re-do my screen now that I've learned how to do it better doign the rest of the phone.   the material is more pliable than I expected, and it is stickier that I expected as well, which makes large surfaces (the screen) a PITA.

I think I could get it perfect doing it again.   I almost wish it were less grippy and less sticky on the adhesive side to better facilitate the squeegee.

Just thought I'd add another option to this thread for the people who are still deciding on what case they should get.  Tongue

Well I got my BestSkinsEver case put on about a week ago, so I can have a nice review of how it is holding up. Installation was a piece of cake, as long as you follow the directions and not try and do your own thing. What I did was took a shower (hot of course, lol) and had the stickers and phone ready on the counter. The point of the shower was the steam reduces the dust.

Got all the stickers put on right, and left my phone on my dresser overnight. Now, after I first applied them there was some bubbles that I couldn't get out with the credit card, but just like they said, they were completely gone within two days. It's been a week and I'm so glad I spent the $8 on this instead of the crazy InvisibleSkin case. I do know that you get what you pay for, but these are the exact same materials and I don't have the money to spend ~$15 on a tiny spray bottle filled with water and soap.

So, the rating. In my opinion, 10/10. I couldn't ask for much more from a peel-and-stick skin. Also here's some pictures, I don't have a fancy camera, I actually used my brothers Vu (LOL) but it shows how shiny it is after. It also adds more grip to the phone, which is great for the clumsy people! (The picture of the screen looks really dusty for some reason, but I can assure you the screen is CRYSTAL clear when the screen is on OR off. The screen is also a snap to clean, wet napkin, swipe, clean Smiley

I don't believe that it does. Mine works perfect and I've had it on since day one. Haven't touched it without it's shield on, though.
