Guys should I buy two of them for our phones: My Father and mine... My laptop has a card reader.

Its the: Transcend 8 GB Class 6 microSDHC Flash Memory Card TS8GUSDHC6, does this work well with Samsung Enternity?

This is for taking photos and making videos and such with the SDHC Memory card when we go on vacation. Smiley

http://www.amazon.com/Transcend-Class-microSDHC-Memory-TS8GUSDHC6/dp/B001IAMME8/ref=pd_sim_dbs_e_2

Its 15 dollars so about 36 dollars for two with shipping? Not bad, right?

Thats a pretty good price for 8GB, make sure your built in card reader has support for MicroSDHC, if not then you may have to purchase a USB adapter or a all in one reader.

Here's my laptop's spec that I was referring to: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834220366

Under specs it states: Supplemental Drive
Card Reader    8-in-1

Does that mean micro SDHC reader through adapter thingy that comes with it or I need something else... This is my first time buying Micro SDHC Card.

If its a fairly new laptop then it should have no problems reading it.  The issue comes from earlier laptops/readers only supporting MicroSD but not MicroSDHC(High-Capacity) which comes in 2GB+ variants.  Some built-in readers may just need an update (driverwise) but most of the older ones may need an alternative such as a MicroSDHC USB Adapter or USB Multireader.

Only need to concern yourself with this if you want to constantly take out the memory card and put it on your computer, but if you have a datacable then you can just transfer from there rather than having to open up the phone just to put files in it.

My suggestion is go for the memory card as well as a data cable (for convenience).

For the case part that would be your preference but I have the black version of the red case which has saved my phone from a lot of damage.  Just this weekend I left my phone on top of the truck while I was changing the oil on my car and I was listening music with it and I totally forgot about it.  The next day my bro found my phone on the road but it was still in perfect condition though the case has a few scratches and bruises so pretty much absorbed all the shock from the fall so thats why I prefer hard cases over the silicone/skin ones.

If you want your illumination bar to show then go for the transparent clear case as the other snap on case has a covered bottom preventing you from seeing the light.

Is PQI a good company in terms of MicroSDHC 8 GB Class 6 for 19 dollars with free shipping. Smiley

They only protect the phone so you may have to opt for a screen protector.

Yeah PQI makes good memory, you can check out www.newegg.com for some deals, I usually buy mine from there or Amazon.

I have the clear plastic one myself. Yes get a screen protector. I bought generic ones and cut them to size. A lot cheaper.

The middle one will not fit. Any micro one will.

Does anyone have "best price" on an 8gb/c6 micro SDHC card right now?

Just a couple (few?) weeks ago these Transcends were $18, and came with both mini and [regular] SD adapters.

Now they're $21.

$21 is about right for a 8GB micro card.

Thanks guys.  Got the above-mentioned Transcend in the mail the other day.  I've searched and read around the forum (esp. here) and know that they need to be formatted first.

With the phone off (duh), I pulled the battery and installed mine, waited a bit, then turned the phone one, waited a bit, and nothing happened.  Is there something particular/specific I need to do in order to format the card?  Or does the phone format it during the boot-up sequence.

It recognizes my card fine (the little card icon w/ the "m" inside of it), but I just wanted to be certain.  I thought for sure it'd at least tell me the card had been formatted if the phone does it w/out user input during the boot sequence.  Overly cautious a bit, I guess...

To be sure I would format it. Menu/settings/memory management/memory card details and hit format. That way you know its clean and formatted properly.
