ok so my text messaging just stopped working and i dont know what the problem is???
i took the sim card out and its not the service because it worked in other phone's.
when i try to click on the messaging icon inside the menu on my phone it just say initializing... goes for like three seconds then stop's.
i tried taking out the battery and sim and leaving in out for hours but nothing ive done has seemed to change it. also tried resetting the phone and still got nothing...

ANY HELP???!!! Huh

It says initializing... because it needs to load the texts. Just turn the phone on and wait 5 minutes. Or keep clicking on messaging until it doesn't say initializing anymore.

you could always try going into your internal menu and filling your text up. sure, it will be ten minutes after you boot before you can use your phone, but it couldn't hurt to try.

How long have you let the phone sit for?

go into your master code section.
9. test cases.
7. message test.

then click on sms test count full

reboot (i think it happens automatically). sit your phone down for a few minutes so your phone can fill up all of your remaining 500 text slots. you'll get an alert the same as if you got a text.  then, assuming it works, go and delete them.
and i really mean to let your phone alone. all functions will lag while your phone fills itself up.

if it doesn't work, go back to the same place.
i can't recall which but its either inject, sms test, or create emails.
this will overwrite your texts which is why i didn't suggest it first and why i won't click on it now myself to tell you which one.

i don't know if this will work. but its worth a shot.
coincidentally, people who get full at less than 500 should also do this fill up test.

if you touch what i said to touch, you'll be ok. but if you go touching other stuff without knowing what it does, we can expect to see a new topic started 'help i broke my phone'

your alternatives are:
1. master reset.
2. partial flash.
3. total flash.
4. warranty repair/exchange.

either way, you're screwed.

what. the. heck. this is an unknown issue. I think the newbs are being impatient, or they DID mess with something in the internals and screwed it up. I bet it is operator error somehow. If it makes you kiddies happy, I would use one of nunya's 5 (including the original, first) suggestions.

My phone does this when I have it plugged in and charging it while trying to access messaging sometimes. Weird. But my fix is simply removing the charging cable. Hehe.
