Oh you deleted a system component... I would try giving your phone a master reset. If it doesn't work, find the firmware. We can't copy the media player, because it's embedded in the firmware, not in the filesystem. Btw, our phones are not similar at all, so it wouldn't have helped you anyways.

Not to be rude at all, but the members on Samsung Instinct forum (look for it on the bottom of this page in orange small letters, grouped with other phone forums) would be much more help than us, on your music player issues.

He said Impact and not Instinct.

Where was this Media Player Folder? There are numerous folders that have to do with the media player. Your question is very vague.

Anywho, samsung impact.... You accidentally deleted the media player? That's very odd the phone should of locked down and said "hey you can't do that! Access denied" but in more of a computer sense. As for fixing your problem, flashing the firmware would be your best bet, but as far as I know the firmware for the impact has not been released. A master reset from internals did you no good, possibly you can try to do a pre-configuration on your device, it should reload the media player.

real simple, the files located under Phone/Exe/java/Locked games/media player.
If you have the files and can post'em that would be great, I will try and see what happends, and if nothing works I will keep looking. If you dont have this folder thats ok. If the phones are not completely the same, most of the files system are similar. Thanks for the offer to help peoples!  great site.

Are you not reading our posts? Our phone does not have a java media player, and it would not be compatible with your phone anyways. Thread locked.

I find it odd that your phone has a java installed media player. All samsung phones that I know of have it embedded in the file system. Wait....most phones have it embedded in the filesystem. Are you sure you deleted the media player and not Media Mall (the app to use to download apps from your carrier)?

Have you tried to play music? Does your ringtones work correctly? If they do then you did something else.

Not sure who this phone is with (carrier). Possibly you can download it from their app store.

@Toast    Why lock? We can talk about dancing, pc operating systems, and other things that don't even have to do with phones. There is no reason why we cannot help this user. Topic unlocked.

So you found a solution? Great. Yes the eternity runs java files. But the media player is embedded into the file system on our phone.

So in your solution were you able to reinstall your media player? Can you upload the jad and jar here for us to look at?

No problem, seems the Midlet was created just for the service provider, Bell, To access the user paid subscriptions . But thats the Media Player (or part of the Media Service I was Looking for in the beginning. I didn't relized it was specific to Bell because I had deleted the files by accident before looking at them. I am thinking any java phone on the Bell Network would use similar Jar jad files. But then agianI could be wrong. Open discussion, trial and error helps find solutions, I guessing that the idea behind forums,  Bread.
