So I tried using CV. I have unlimited data plan. I go to CV, click on a program, and it gives me an error saying I need to change plans (something bout unlimited data, which I have (confirmed by AT&T when on the pone)), I click continue to select my "change of service". It then says I need to enter last 4 digits of social security number of primary account holder (It's a business plan phone). I click ok tells me to call 611 and ask for help. I do. After almost 1hr on the phone they tell me (tech. support) that the PHONE is NOT compatible with the hardware (Eternity). Ok this is bullshit, because I KNOW other users on here have used CV from reading. Anyone else have this problem or negative?

Try calling again. I have a data plan but I didn't have CV at first, but one day I checked it and I got it. You need to call again and tell them that you have the data plan but CV doesn't work. Hopefully you'll find a smart rep who can help you out. Or you can do what I did and just wait a few weeks, I don't know if that'll work for everyone but it did for me.

I have the unlimited data and messaging plan for $30. I've read somewhere on here that you can put your phone in airplane mode, then put it back in normal mode and that might work (at least I think this was the same problem, but I'm not sure).

If not,  what worked for me was to call customer service and tell them the problem. Ask them to take the data plan off and put it back on. I think it's something with AT&T's system because this has happened with quite a few folks. Once they reapplied my data package, CV started working again.

Hope this helps.

I see you said that you went thru 3 people, but did you do what i suggested and asked them to take the data plan completely off and then put it back on again? I had the exact same problem, word for word, and that's what worked for me.

CV, while it has it's own link, is just a webpage...  if you have data (and work didn't block it like someone suggested), it should load up...  check for any blocks on the account, and then go bitch at an ATT store, but make sure it's a corporate store as franchise stores are full of jackasses...

...they tell me (tech. support) that the PHONE is NOT compatible with the hardware (Eternity).
It never ceases to amaze me how clueless "Tech Support" reps can be. And not just w/AT&T, it's almost universal. I've been in the computer/electronics tech industry for over 20 years and it gets worse every year.

At my last job we had to attend "training" sessions several times a year from various manufacturer's representatives, and with very few exceptions the "trainers" were pretty clueless and knew less than we did. One dude literally spent the entire "training" session with his back to us as he simply read the screen from the Powerpoint presentation that was playing on his computer (and the really sad thing is, he was probably getting paid more than we were Sad ).

Anyway... back to the topic on hand. If you haven't already tried, turn your phone off and on again. I was messing with an Eternity in the local AT&T store and had a similar error, and restarting the phone got it going again. And yes, the Eternity most definitely is compatible with CV.

Another possibility is your AT&T account may have the wrong phone type associated. If you have recently changed phones, make sure AT&T has the correct phone associated w/your number.

And the suggestion that your work may have blocked some phone features is also a distinct possibility.

Well, nothing yet...still isn't working.

Had them try everything, they wouldn't let me take off and re-add the Data because I wasn't the main account holder (gay). Anyways, will try to get my boss to call it in...

As for the turn off turn on, that's a negative, and work did not block it. The have no reason too.

Glad it started back up for you. It's weird though that you couldn't get answers. Tell AT&T to credit you something for those days you didn't have complete usage of your data and cv. They should at least do that.
