let me jump in and save you before someone notices this....... mp4 all day long. 320x240. you should have searched first though and you would have found several threads including info such as other acceptable formats, optimal settings, even what programs people favor.......

the video must b in .mp4 format and resolution= 320x240!!!!!!!
if not in mp4 format or 320x240 resolution then u will have to change it in some way!

In this post I will b using AVC (Any Video Converter):
download link: http://download.cnet.com/Any-Video-Converter/3000-2194_4-10661456.html
*This program allows you to change the type of file that the video is under (ex. .avi to .mp4), the resolution of the video (ex. resolution= 320x240), and you can also download youtube, myspace, metacafe, etc... videos.

once you download and install AVC then you will send ur video to your desktop or an easily accessable folder....*This is for a video already on my desktop* hit add video then hit desktop( or the folder u saved it to) then open. it shouldve opened the video and u r ready to pick the new properties!

FOR THE ETERNITY: Go to the top right hand corner and hit the drop-down arrow and select mobile phone (*.mp4).......... then you go down to the tool bar on the far-right side and under video options and type in 320x240 (or select)....ajust any other options u want and then you r ready to convert!

Once ur done converting, go to mobile phone under converted |-|....
hit output folder and something should come up that says the name of the folder on it....
then drag the video files from this folder to ur desktop........ FROM THERE U CAN CHOOSE WAT YOU DO TO TRANSFER TO ETERNITY!

Hope this helped in any way! Smiley

why 320x240 ?!!!  means from the display you can see it supports more than 320 width wise. Still they are supporting only 320 x240 leaving black strips on both the sides.

Can somebody find a logical explanation for this !! Is there any way to hack it !! Most of the video players of same resolution supports full screen playback utilizing the entire screen width n height... expected the same with this device...  Sad

it has to do with math and equivalent proportions to the relative minor

in otherwords, it can only do 240 vertically
so 320 is as big as the dimensions will allow for a lowest common denominator

Yes I agree with you. But it totally depends on the aspect ratio of the video clip. I have tried some video clips to resize maintaining the aspect ratio. Output file was 380x240 which is well within the display resolution i.e.400 x 240. But it fails to play. It expects us to stretch / skew to fit into 320 x 240..which is not an ideal thing to do.

You buy a $2000 LCD Flat screen TV and it does the same thing. Stretch or leave black bars.
