Hi all,

So I copied/pasted a few video files from my Eternity to my computer. All files played just fine on my phone prior to the transfer. Since then, however, I've tried opening them, running them through conversion software, and opening them with mp4 players...all to no avail. The video files won't open. Could they be corrupted? If so, how do I fix them? They were videos that were pretty important to me.

**Edit: When I tried moving the files back to my phone to see if they would still play, I got an error message that read, "Unknown File Format." This was both in PC Studio and when trying to play directly on my phone.

Thanks in advance,
DS

Is it the correct resolution and codec? Look in the video section stickies for info on that.

Hi Toast,

Thanks for the reply. I looked up info on codecs/resolution and everything seems to be correct in the converters. The problem is occurring when I try to load the file for conversion. A couple of examples: in AVC I get the message, "Cannot get media information of video file, insert failed." In Pazera, I get:

Error # 1
----------
Date & Time: 3/10/2010 / 6:37:45 PM
ExitCode: 1
[mov,mp4,m4a,3gp,3g2,mj2 @ 0xf0d840]moov atom not found
C:\Users\DS\Desktop\My Judas 2.mp4: Error while opening file

I've googled/searched for info on problems with actually loading the file into the converter, to no avail. Keeping up the search, but in the meantime, any thoughts?

Thanks again,
DS

Download the Combined Community Codec Pack and see if it works.
