Hi, so i want to exchange my phone because the sensitivity on it is not very responsive. I called AT&T and told them only about a fourth of the sticker was light pink, but they said my warranty was voided, but i could still send it in.
Do you guys know how technical support would handle this?
My phone was never been dropped in water or anything to that extent.
Thanks!

I always felt that companies use those stickers as a scam. They are very easy to mess up even with sweat, and occasionally I have done the same thing with very high humidity.

Next time don't call them and replace the sticker yourself then send it in. If you search around on the forum there are a couple of threads that talk about getting around that damn scam sticker. If they just made phones that sealed better it wouldn't even matter. Actually the samsung d807 (which is pretty old) I dropped fully under water and nothing at all happened to it, dried it off and it worked just fine lol Tongue

mine has two one on the side of the battery and one by the sim card but if it turns pink put white out on it  but be gentle because if they notice they will void your warranty anyway.

Do you fail to realize white out crust up so it will be ton of white crust in your phone, then when you rake it to att the rep will be like "Now that right there, that is your problem" basically just replace it and don't add white out, please.

My phone got "wet" from being in my pocket on a humid day.  Roll Eyes

The screen's calibration is all screwed up and I need to send it in for a replacement...

Have any of these methods actually worked for you guys?

I don't have any other Samsung phones around to grab the sticker from, but I do have glossy white photo paper that I could try. Do they really check in depth when they get a broken phone?

I have insurance through Best Buy that I could use but they still send the phone away to AT&T I think.

What's my best option here? I can't stand the screen any more. =/

Replace the sticker. Follow the ebay link Americo posted earlier in this thread. Yes the warranty dept will check your phone and if they notice anything out of the ordinary, they will charge your account FULL PRICE for the phone. So replace the sticker and save a lot of money.

**This is not the official word of the Forum itself, just my technically heightened opinion**

Why go to all of that trouble? Especially risking Radio Snack not taking the phone back. For $5, you can buy your own stickers and replace them.

Don't do more work than is necessary. All you are doing is make more work for yourself and possibly losing money.
